Dharma Farms is a cow sanctuary and event space inspired by ancient Indian wisdom in the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area.

What is a Goshala?

Originating thousands of years ago in ancient India, the goshala (i.e., traditional Hindu cow sanctuary) is a place where cows are treated not as food or livestock but as sacred spiritual beings that are the embodiment of the Divine Feminine. The goshala is a beacon of compassion and enlightened living in a world seriously out of balance.

What We Do

Dharma Farms is a ten-acre cow sanctuary nestled in the foothills of San Jose. We offer a range of pro bono services to other goshalas and animals rescues across the Bay Area to assist them in their mission to save cows and other animals. Dharma Farms is also a unique event space that allows like-minded people to meet and explore the intersection of animals and spirituality.

Who We Are

Dharma Farms was founded by an ex-Google lawyer and a marketing executive who found success in the corporate world but wanted to create a place where people from all backgrounds could come together in the shared love for spirituality, animals, and sustainable living.
